The literaly meaning of islam is peace, is to obey or follow god will to be good in life and that way you can go to heaven. the prophet muhammad was the one who gave islam the real meaning by angel gabriel spoke to him in a word called quran. since that day quran has been called the holy book of the islamic religion. my opinion is that religion is obey gods will and that make a good religion for their believers but for me that im catholic i think that we all know that we need to follow gods will and also believe that jesus was our prophet and was the one who died for us for that reason we need to give it up all for him.
